Histoire sympa, livre rigide et solide, j'aime beaucoup la qualité des illustrations.
Un classique à avoir absolument dans sa bibliothèque, les petits adorent.Pas d'arrachage de page avec ce livre cartonné, parfait pour les tout petits!
Very disappointed. I had this book as a child and remember the pictures being so bold and vibrant like the book advertised but it isn’t at all. Someone had mentioned this in an earlier comment and suggested getting the soft cover as it was only the board book that had lost the bright colors, no, apparently they’re all dull now.
We would gladly have granted a five star review for this book but for the fact that the more recent board book edition we received was disappointingly dull colored. The original hardcover copy that we borrowed from the library was beautiful and the kids and I could totally sympathize with the little mouse for wanting to eat that red ripe strawberry. It looked delicious. Same clever story in our board copy but if I were the mouse here I would just let the old bear have that lack-luster piece of fruit. If, however, you are thinking about purchasing a paper copy of this book then go for it.
For pre-readers to beginning readers, the picture is what tells the story. This book invites you to pore over each page, the art work is captivating, and the text is lyrical., rhythmic enough to facilitate memorization, beautiful enough to make this a favorite read aloud for parents and for children.As an educator, mother of 4 (now grown) children and an avid reader, this book still delights.
This was a favorite book of my children (I’m sure I’ve memorized it)! Now my granddaughter calls me on the phone to ask me to read it to her at bedtime. The text is fairly short but along with the beautiful illustrations, it holds the child’s interest with every page! I’d say for age 2-8.
My children loved this book years ago. I bought this one for a baby shower. Unfortunately, this published version is not the same quality as the one I bought from Discovery Toys years ago. It is small and a carboard type book. The colors are muted and not vibrant. I still haven't given it away as it just isn't special enough for a present.
